As a woman who has lived to a ripe middle-age of 55 years, I’m used to a little pain and discomfort. It’s a sad fact of life, but as we get older, well, we also start getting nagging pains and discomfort we never had to worry about when we were younger – and to be honest with you, the very worst of these pains is back pain.
You see, back pain is a pain like no other. If you get a sore foot, you can rest it on a chair. You pretty much take care of the problem, then move on with your day.
But back pain is different. It hurts no matter what you’re doing. It hurts when you’re walking. It hurts when you’re sitting. It hurts when you’re standing.
Worse still, it even hurts when you’re lying down! If you’ve never felt this kind of pain before, consider yourself lucky. It feels terrible not being able to find ANY comfortable position when you lie in bed. And quite honestly, it completely ruins your ability to get a good night’s sleep!
It wasn’t always like this. I used to be very active when I was younger, but over just the past few years, it feels like my back just finally started to break down. Simple, easy tasks I never even thought about before can now trigger days of pain and soreness.
